Licensing Certificate or Serial Number

Hi,

 

Sorry for writing in English, but my German isnt very good. I ordered a Hex+Can usb interface from http://www.pci-tuning.de/ and have been trying to register on the ross-tech website, but it requires that I provide two of the following: Certificate Number, Short Serial Number or Long Serial Number to register.

 

I have the long serial number from the "About" page in the software, but I dont have either the certificate or the serial number on the interface. Can anyone help me with this please?

Sorry I do have the serial number on the device, but apparently Rosstech dont recognise it...

In order to use all features of this forum , you need to first with a member name and a valid e- mail address register . By registering you in the forum own identity , its own member name that appears on all messages you and in your public profile.

How do I register?

To register , click on the 'Register' link at the top of the page. You must specify a user name, a password and a valid e - mail address. In addition, other fields must be completed generally still . Some will be mandatory while others are optional . Once you're done, your registration is complete. At the end of the registration process you need to click an activation link, which you can find in an e- mail that is sent to you automatically . After you are registered on the forum.

 

Your email address will not leave you open to ' spam', as you can hide it from other board users . Other users may send you emails about the forum without being able to see your e- mail address.

The Ross-Tech registration asks for two out of three numbers. In your case your interface should have a sticker with the license number (format should be AVT123456-ABC), in addition you'll find the long serial number in VCDS itself (see VCDS > About/Über).

 

Last but not least - please understand that this is a German language forum, if you'd like support in English - please contact the colleagues in the US.

 

BTW: Why would you purchase a German version if your German isn't good in the first place?

Hi,

 

Yes i didnt realise that the sticker was the license number and not the dongle hw number. I have also contacted the US support team and they were brilliant. I posted to this forum because i actually live in Germany, purchased the dongle from a german company and this is the forum that I was sent to for support...
